Search for local assistance, pre-polling Referendum 2023
The Australian Electoral Commission (AEC) are in urgent need of persons to assist referendum poling in Central Australia.
Remote Mobile Polling Assistants work up to 12 days before or on voting day and deliver services to voters in remote communities, where no other voting services are available. Remote mobile polling teams service isolated communities, town camps and mining sites located further than 20km from a
polling place.
Local Assistants are paid $29.44 per hour (inclusive of casual loading). They are also eligible to receive a Travelling Voter Services Allowance of $140 each day they work. RSDT Assistants may also be eligible to receive the Community Language Allowance ($10 per day) if they use a language other than English to support voters during polling.
